Jn. 18:28 Then they led Yeshua from Caiaphas to the Praetorium, and it was early morning. But they themselves did not go into the Praetorium, lest they should be defiled, but that they might eat the Passover.
In the morning there is a special Passover sacrifice known as the Haggigah Offering. This was offered immediately after the regular morning sacrifice. The priests take part in this Paschal offering, and that is why they were afraid of defiling themselves and not being able to partake in it.
Violation No. 23: the morning sacrifice had not been completed yet.The trial held at night before Caiaphas was over. They are now taking Yeshua before Pontius Pilate. The law forbid them to do these things prior to the completion of the morning sacrifice.

Violation No. 24: the trial was being held on the Sabbath and a festival holy day.
It was illegal based on Jewish law, because it began on a day before one of God’s annual holy day Sabbaths.

Mt. 27:2 And when they had bound Him, they led Him away and delivered Him to Pontius Pilate the governor.
Mk. 15:1 Immediately, in the morning, the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council; and they bound Yeshua, ledHim away, and delivered Him to Pilate.
Lk. 23:1 Then the whole multitude of them arose and led Him to Pilate.
Jn. 18:29 Pilate then went out to them and said, “What accusation do you bring against this Man?”
Jn. 18:30 They answered him and said to him, “If He were not an evildoer, we would not have delivered Him up to you.”
Lk. 23:2 And they began to accuse Him, saying, “We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to pay taxes to Caesar, saying that He Himself is Messiah, a King.”
This is now the third time the council has changed the charges against Yeshua. The first charge was Yeshua claiming He would destroy the Temple and build it back again in three days. That charge was then changed to blasphemy when they couldn’t find two witnesses to agree on the first charge. Now they change the charge to treason because the Romans could have cared less about anyone blaspheming their Jewish God. They had to come up with a charge that violated Roman law.. The Romans did not care what the people did with their gods. As a mater of fact, if you needed another one, they had a few extra one, that they would let you have. What they wouldn’t tolerate was someone declaring himself to be king in areas that they controlled.
This verse says that the charge against Yeshua was sedition against Rome. The Mishnah specifically named Yeshua in this charge. “A disciple corrupting his food publicly was Yeshua of Nazareth.” “Corrupting his food” was a Rabbinic idiom for mixing truth with heresy.

Jn. 18:31 Then Pilate said to them, “You take Him and judge Him according to your law.” Therefore the Jews said to Him, “It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death.”
Jn. 18:32 That the saying of Yeshua might be fulfilled which He spoke, signifying by what death He would die.”
The Mishnah records that forty years before the destruction of he Temple, the death penalty authority was taken away from the Sanhedrin. The Law reads, “Forty years before the Temple was destroyed, judgment in capital cases was taken away from Israel.”.

Mt. 27:11 Now Yeshua stood before he governor. And the governor asked Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” So Yeshua said to Him, “It is as you say.”
Mk. 15:2 Then Pilate asked Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” And He answered, and said to Him,“It is as you say.”
Lk. 23:3 So Pilate asked Him, saying, “Are You the King of the Jews?” And He answered Him and said, “It is as you said.”
Jn. 18:33 Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Yeshua, and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?”
Mt. 27:12 And while He was being accused by the chief priests and elders, He answered nothing.
Mk. 15:3 And the chief priests accused Him of many things, but He answered nothing.
Mt. 27:13 Then Pilate said to Him, “Do you not hear how many things they testify against You?”
Mk. 15:4 Then Pilate asked Him again, saying, Do You answer nothing? See how many things they testify against You?”
Fulfilled Prophecy: He would be silent while being accused (Isaiah 53:7; Psalm 38:13, 14).
Mt. 27:14 And He answered him not one word, so that the governor marveled greatly.
Mk. 15:5 But Yeshua answered nothing, so that Pilate marveled.
Jn. 18:34 Yeshua answered him, “Are you speaking for yourself on this or did others ell you this about Me?”
Jn. 18:35 Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to Me. What have You done?”
Jn. 18:36 Yeshua Answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”
Jn. 18:37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Yeshua answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”
Jn. 28:38 Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all.”
Lk. 23:4 Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowd, “I find no fault in this Man.”
Lk. 23:5 But they were more fierce, saying, He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee to this place.”
This last verse in Luke is totally true. Yeshua had traveled all over Judea and Galilee, teaching the Word of God, which was contrary to a lot of the teachings especially of the Sadducees. The miracles that He performed and the teachings that He gave to the people stirred the hearts of the people the way that no man ever had before.
Truth is one of the pillars upon which the world rests (M:Avoth 1:8). The core of Judaism is the conviction that whatever is true is also good and beautiful. This thought has been interpreted to the effect that he universe and all it contains, reflecting the greatness of God, is based on truth. The Jewish concept of a happy life is expressed in Proverbs 30:7-9. One of the seven characteristics of a wise man listed in the Ethics of the Fathers is that of acknowledging the truth (M:Avoth 5:9).
